VAE... when diplomas validate professional experience
As part of the Ambitions 2010 project, Finaref is committed to promoting the development and professional skills of its employees. In order to help employees gain new skills, Finaref launched its VAE programme designed to validate professional experience. This system enables employees at telecom platforms to validate a further education diploma in customer relations and negotiations (BTS Négociation relation Clientèle) by developing their professional experience. Validation is awarded in the form of a dossier that the employee prepares and presents in front of a jury. The jury either partially or totally grants the targeted qualification. In order to encourage employees Finaref is on hand to provide support and finances part of the procedure.
A system available to all Open to all employees on a permanent contract with at least three years’ professional experience, the VAE programme offers a number of qualifications. More than 1,700 state-recognised diplomas or vocational qualifications have been awarded so far along with 400 vocational certificates and 900 state-approved private qualifications.
A diploma or qualification awarded by the VAE programme has the same value as qualifications awarded by university bodies, internships and apprenticeships.
The first batch of VAE graduates Obtaining a VAE diploma requires a high level of commitment by the employee. Compiling a dossier entails around one hundred hours of individual study. This is why Finaref has set up a support system of fifteen hours in conjunction with GRETA and SUDES at the Lille I University constituting leave accorded as part of the VAE or the DIF in order to help employees who commit to this path.
The Human Resources department has widened the scope of diplomas to include other secondary education (higher technical diplomas, professional higher diplomas) and university level qualifications (degrees, masters, etc.).
