Zenetis: the insurance of your hand bag
Finaref has just launched Zenetis, a product which guarantees its male and female customers peace of mind should a bag be lost or stolen.
Finaref has devised a new service for its cardholders. Zenetis is a comprehensive service which ensures peace of mind when a bag is lost or stolen. This is a typical product for banks, but is groundbreaking for a credit provider, especially as Finaref’s service is one of the most comprehensive available. The loss or theft of a bag means that its owner loses first and foremost all means of making payments: cheque book, bank cards and credit cards, etc. Zenetis provides a single centralised service, accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week to handle all the procedures for cancelling these means of payment. Any expenses incurred are covered by Finaref. If a mobile phone is also stolen, this same service contacts the operator to block the phone, and if calls have been made by the thief in the intervening time, these are reimbursed. The service also covers the replacement of keys and locks (car, house locks, etc.). Customers who subscribe to the service receive a key ring with an (anonymous) number and a message instructing anyone who finds the keys to put them in a letterbox. They are then automatically returned to their owner using the Colissimo rapid parcel service. Finaref cannot apply for replacement official documents (ID card, driving license, vehicle registration documents, etc.) on behalf of a customer, but does inform customers of the procedure to be followed, where to apply, and the required documents. Zenetis also offers other practical advantages: customers are informed automatically when their passport is about to expire and are provided with an “electronic safebox” where they can store personal data safely and access it when required. A fixed payment is also made to cover the cost of replacing the lost or stolen bag.The cost of Zenetis for customers with a Finaref account is just three euros per month. For a further one euro a month, cover may be extended to the whole family. Finaref put together a team of staff from different areas to design and launch this product in under six months. The launch is being marketed by means of promotional information enclosed with bank statements or sent directly, e-mails and telephone calls. A qualitative and quantitative study will be conducted in December 2006, covering customer reactions to Zenetis and the number of subscriptions.
